The goings on in the land of Luff!!

I really need to show a bit more attention to my little old blog!!  It gets neglected all to often.  Lots is happening here at the moment, I have been plodding through my facebook custom list, I am in the final round of testing for a new product (TBA in the new financial year), I am just about to start work on my very first co-op (bit nervous about this one!!) all whilst attending to the 4 beautiful trouble makers and planning a wedding for later this year :)

A few things have been going on in the MCN world.  New nappy makers are starting up, more people are starting to use cloth - all in all a wonderful thing. However, with all this new choice for nappy buyers please realise that although we are businesses we are also mothers, wives, sisters and daughters.  We have lives away from nappies or children's products, we have feelings and we are real people.  We are not always available, although you may 'see' us online, so please remember this before 'venting' frustrations.  Also there has been a few comments of late about replicating designs.  No wahm in good conscious would replicate someones work, and most of us know each other so we do know what others are up to.  Understandably there are some designs that everyone loves, but would you love it if there were 30 of them?

Anyway thats my ramble for the day.  Hope you are all wonderful.

Butterflies ruffles and pink OH MY!!!!

Here is the place to be if you want to have a chance to put this beautiful nappy on your princesses bottom.

Its pretty easy.  Comment on this blog post, make sure I can either contact you on facebook or put your email address in the comment so if you win I can contact you.

Here is the nitty gritty.  This will be left open until 8pm Sunday Night (SA time)  Your number is the one allocated to your comment.  Then I will random.org the numbers on Sunday night.  You can only enter once.  The price is $49.  This includeds express postage to you.  It is more than my normal price of $30 for a nappy, but this has a lot of work put into it and is cheaper than I would normally charge for so much detail and applique.  Payment is via direct deposit.  If you win the nappy I will put payment details in the email.

Okay thats it.  Good luck ladies!!!!

Update for our followers!!

Oh my goodness its been so long since I updated the blog (norty norty me!!)  Things have been running 100 miles an hour in our house lately.  The new addition has joined us, Miss Erin was born on the 24th of August.  She is an absolute treasure.  I am still on my babymoon, but I have been having a long think about what is going to happen when we return.  In the last 6 months there have been countless nappy makers pop up, and we are all doing the same thing.  So maybe it is time to change things up again!!!  I will still be making nappies, but maybe a bit differently or only focusing on a certain type.  I would really like your feedback on this - tell me, would you like a specific kind of nappy?  For example, would you like hand dyed fitteds or maybe pockets?

Whilst making Erin's nappy stash I have realised that I much prefer bamboo velour inners, so this is one change that I will be implementing.  It will make the price of my nappies 1 or 2 dollars more, but I think it is worth it.

I will let everyone know both on the blog and on the facebook page when I am going to start up again.  Things will work a bit differently though.  I will no longer be taking on massive orders, there will be custom slots listed on the fanpage and they will be for a maximum of 4 nappies.  This is mostly because I am now a SAHM of 4 children and my time is limited!!!

Well I hear a little person starting to stir, so it looks like mummy time is over!!

Stay fantastic everyone

Im back!!!!!

Just a small update.

WOW!!!  What a wonderful thing that 20 week mark is!!  I am feeling so much better.  I am busily sewing away for the very first stocking.  There wont be heaps up for grabs, but there will be a limited number of custom slots.

The stocking will be held on the website, but previews etc will go up onto the facebook page.

Thanks for reading

Just for now

I have taken all stock off of the website and wont be re-stocking in the forseeable future.

This pregnancy is knocking me around quite a bit.  I am not finding as much time as I would like to make stock and keep checking the website.  I am still suffering from morning sickness (at 17 weeks) and I am getting quite bad headaches :(

I have a couple of custom orders still to make/finish, and these are at the top of the list, however sewing is not high on the priority list at the moment.

I will put up all the available stock onto the facebook fanpage at some point over the next week or so, at discounted prices!!

For those who have discount vouchers (from the tester call out) if you would like to use these when I start making nappies you are more than welcome!  I have the licence to make and sell, I am just trying to work out if I make a few and have 'mini stockings' or if I work on a 'pre-order' system.  Any input into this is welcome.

Thanks for supporting me so far this year, I hope to be back on track soon.

Sending you all fluffy luff!!

When everything seems to be going smoothly.................

you can gaurantee that one of the kids will get sick!!!!  So thats what happened in our house over the last 14 days.  I haven't been able to sew or knit, and the list of things to do is growing rapidly!!

One thing I have completed is the cot blanket and matching woobie that we are sending off for auction.  The beautiful Bonny from Bonnibuns is running an auction to help raise money for Nicola.  Read Nicolas story here

The blanket is purple and aqua coral fleece with a backing of froggy microfleece.

Once the little fella is back in bed (so tonight!)  I will be finishing the boosters for the medium and  large tester nappies and hopefully getting the mediums at least pinned together!  The shells for the larges are finished.  I will explain them in another post when tester nappies have been sent out.

Cheers
